For the last couple of years or so mine has been running a fairly consistent 1.2~1.3. My experience with AA on "gray" areas has usually gone in my favor. But, I just chalk this up to me not asking for much in terms of exceptions to the rules and AA doing what is reasonable.

One noteable exception was a year or so ago during the Northeast black out, me and my spouse were flying to LGA through DFW when the flights to NY were all cancelled. Getting people to NY had to be a zoo for AA. But, the folks in the AC at DFW (with help from someone at the end of the phone line) re-routed us to RIC and then onto a DL puddle jumper into LGA getting in about 3 hours after we would have on our original itinerary. And, we had full award FC tickets - non-rev!

Q-point ratio? Multi-year EXP? AC member? AAdv member since May 1981? Or just AA doing the right thing for a loyal customer?
