Is there a particular time during the year that's good to call?/chat? Right before/after AF hit or middle of the year?
I assume if you accept the retention offer mid year, you would have to keep it for the rest of the year, plus the next year? My Platinum fee is up in July. I didn't get any offers in July and didn't even get the $200 Amex Travel credits, but kept it because of the $40 monthly credits. If I chat with them now, and get an offer, I assume I won't get any more offers in July? Can I cancel in July or would that be a black mark on my account?
