For me the only PH I've stayed at was Beaver Creek. And I loved the woodsy charm, but I felt like the rooms were... not as nice/luxurious as I was expecting. (I've stayed in the 2Q, plus the Mt Powell suite and the Jack Scott suite).

Using my own definition (favorite upper end hotels, not necessary top luxury), also adding a few other not-typically-mentioned bright spots:
- Andaz Mayakoba (I haven't seen it mentioned here). Great rooms (especially the suites), love the eco-resort vibe, not loud/rowdy like much of Cancun/PDC.
- Ziva/Zilara Cancun. The all inclusives are a little bit of an oddball on this list, but I really liked the hotels and the all inclusive experience.
- Andaz Maui. The property is fantastic. Everyone I've convinced to stay there raves about the breakfast. It's just a beautiful property with a fantastic beach and easy access to so much of Maui.
- Parisi Udvar (Unbound in Budapest). It's an old building so rooms are quirky, but it is such a beautiful lobby and building. And it's got a great location in the city, walkable to so much. It was a fantastic base for a week.
- Olive 8. Hadn't seen this one mentioned, but it's a lovely modern hotel in the middle of Seattle and had a great stay there. Breakfast benefits are also fantastic.
- HR Coconut Point. It's a regency, but it's really as nice as a grand hyatt. Nice suites with lots of room, a great family getaway location. Plus the boat ride to/from the "private" island is lots of fun.
- HR Jersey City. Hear me out. If you get their top suite you have your own private deck with loungers with probably the most amazing view of NYC across the Hudson that you're ever going to see. The room is nice and has plenty of space (especially compared to NYC rooms) and it was relatively convenient and had a great breakfast.
- Andaz Vienna. I really liked the hotel - it's a new build and it was extremely well done. It's outside the inner ring of Vienna, but easy enough to get in and out of town. Very large, spacious suites that were nicely done. They had a lovely welcome amenity and a great breakfast buffet spread. For the value, it was fantastic.
- Grand Hyatt Baha Mar. If you're ok with mega resorts, this one is solid. Bahamas are a great getaway from the US, and this has a lot of nice pools, great beach access, the rooms are nice, I loved the club.
