Whether it's a paid or award booking I'm looking for, I always start with a flexible search with a 1-night stay to see the full calendar of rates. Sometimes multi-night discount offers will mean that the actual cash total is different for your chosen dates, but this method gives you a good bird's eye view of when the cheaper dates are.
