I had to get the DOT involved to finally get my money back...
PL said AF/DL has to refund
AF/DL said PL has to refund
PL denied the chargeback and Amex said it's not PL fault (which is true), so they couldn't do anything
After getting the DOT involved, the money came back in a few days - with like 15 % loss because of the weak dollar.
Still considering what to do about this...
Some CC's will cover the difference.
