I'm one of the most child-friendly posters on this board, but I would seriously suggest chucking this kind of trip altogether.

My personal opinion only -- you are wasting a huge number of miles and a lot of time taking two babies a long distance. Go somewhere fun but cheap. The kids won't care, and you can use those miles for yourself or with them later when they will enjoy it.
