How important is a high QPoint ratio?
As an experiment I kept a perfect 1.5 qpoint ratio for a while on AAdvantage (only F/J flights credited to AA, discounted tickets credited to QF so it didn't show on AA). The result: a phenomenal increase in customer service from the EXP line. I guess they look at your qpoints/qmiles ratio when deciding what favour you might deserve. Unfortunately AA miles are worth almost double over QF miles, so this is a poor strategy for optimizing value of earned mileage, but it does make quite a difference in status (at least based on my sample size of one). Something to keep in mind for those who want special treatment from AA -- simple to get, just keep your qpoints ratio at 1.5.
