We are going to PHX in June, spending two nights. I'm looking for a swanky resort in a natural setting, i.e. not the city. There will be three adults. We need two rooms or a suite with a separate bedroom and a sofa bed. I have a total budget of $2000 for the stay (both rooms/both nights). Any recommendations?

The Fairmont Princess Scottsdale used to be out in the desert.
Royal Palms feels like it is out in the desert.
The Boulders up in Carefree also feels like it is out in the desert.
The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch has the sort of rooms you are describing.
The McCormick also has similar room arrangements at a lower price point.
