By the way, any ticketing office could handle a transaction on another ticket issued by another office so the agent was probably trying to send you away.

I am not sure how was your reaction towards the agent but be aware that Turkish ( nationality ) people don't like helping people that are aggressive towards them. ( Assuming that the ticketing staff was from Turkey )
