It’d be interesting to hear CCs perspective. I imagine for some it might come down to ‘who is hiring’? As with any job, lovely to be able to pick and choose but in reality there’s a marketplace. Both have high standards.

I would also then think, just like any other career, personal choice. Ranging from the uniform, brand, ability to try different things - given all crew at BA now fly long and shorthaul following the closure of worldwide, eurofleet and Mixed Fleet, on BA you’re going to be working on mix of twin and single aisle aircraft, have long and short trips, it strikes me BA will have fewer opportunities to suit many working parents.

10 years ago, it was common to meet BA crew with 10 years or so flying experience for whom it was a career. I think we’ll see fewer examples of that going forwards - on MF turnover felt quite rapid and some CSMs seemed quite young. Whereas the EF and WW CSD would generally have many more years’ service.

The other interesting comparator is the ME3.
