Anyone have any facts on how many bomb threats made against commercial airliners have involved a real bomb? And of that number, how many were successfully diverted in an emergency landing, saving the lives of the passengers and crew?

My non-researched guess (WAG) is very, very few. Especially when compared to the vast number of bomb threats.

Does it really make any sense to treat bomb threats as actual threats?
