If anything, the flatbed B777 and A380 seats are angled backwards, with your feet slightly above your head (which isn't good for sleeping). There was one guy on the BA forum that used to insist on sleeping the wrong way round - with his head at the end of the bed. Some cabin crew were OK with that, some insisted it was a safety issue.

I'm no fan of the EK B777 J seat, and I'll actively avoid it, but to say it's worse than Y or PE is just "none sense". Or as Phil Collins would say :-
Exactly. I have flown many many miles in 77W J seats ans have always slept well. Never found myself being ‘pushed down’
Yes, the aisle access may be a problem for some. But I have no ‘old man bladder problem’ (yet). I go to the toilet once before I go to sleep and that’s it. My flights are usually 9 hours (CPT/DXB vv).

Do I prefer the A380? Yes. On the few routes where they fly both aircraft I’ll go for the 380 if I can. But this ranting against the 77W product is ‘snowflake behaviour’ if you ask me.
