I can add some commentary and also clarify the basis for my opinion vs some other opinions posted.
Full disclosure- I paid full cash rate and booked and paid for a Beach Suite w/plunge pool room. No travel agent deals. I am a Globalist with 130+ nights (stays/spend) in 2020, no upgrade was offered, nor were any other Globalist benefits provided other than resort fee being waived.
The room was ground-floor, on-the-beach. Literally, 5 steps out the sliding door, on the beach. People walking past constantly. The kids from adjacent suite coming up onto our beach-front "porch". Zero privacy.
The sliding door going outside has a handle so tiny it's nearly impossible for someone (a woman) with long fingernails to open/close.
The bathroom window, a large one, was push to open. Literally. There were no latches at all, just a bush outside. Ground level.
Some sort of equipment room was behind our room, frequent loud pump running noises.
Thomson is very strange in regards to Globalist breakfast benefits. You get coffee free, but you're charged if you want a latte. Juice is free but you are charged for a breakfast smoothie. One entree is free however if you order something else (pancakes, then eggs for example) you are charged. None of this insulting game playing BS occurs at Hyatt branded properties.
There is no way in heck I would ever rate this property as 10/10 on any scale. 5/10 is very fair.
On the last day/night I asked to move rooms, to have a second-floor room off the beach (beach view not beach front), so we could have some privacy and peace and quiet.
Yes, it has a beach and yes the beach is nice.
I wish I knew from reading here what I otherwise had to learn the hard way during a full-fare cash paid, non-upgraded stay.
