That said, I would note that HR continues to have high rates given the circumstances, at the moment $100 per night is out of line relative to many comparable alternatives from other hotel chains which can either come with significant F&B credits or have much lower rates (sometimes less than half the price of HR) including promos via Megatix, etc. So HR should not be surprised if they only have 10 rooms occupied - their price level is off.

In the mean time, that provides a wonderful peace haven for people like you who need the Globalist nights more than having to worry about the price tag.

Personally I would like to return to HR but since I have Globalist in the bag already, I think I will wait for them to bring prices down a bit. And if they don't, then I will be disappointed but so be it. In that case, it will be "see you next year HR"
I happen to agree that their current rates are unrealistic considering the situation and I mentioned that to them in a direct email. It was a decision that I had to make after the MMQP renigged on 2-3 items. The published rate is $116++ per room per night. I got them to bring it down to $100 all in per room plus benefits which is around 30% off their discounted published rate. Still beats the rates in my local Orange County (CA) Hyatts where the cheapest rate is around $100 plus tax without any benefits. Wife currently holding on the special discounted rate she has from the government for other stays which is limited to 15 room nights.

GH Erawan rate is $85++ per room per night not sure about the benefits. We love GHE location but the rooms are on the smallish side. At least here we got the suite without having to barter much.
