Thank you for saying what most of us are thinking. I am in France where the incidence is much lower than the UK - for now. These times require sacrifice from us all - and I am afraid that if that damages tourism elsewhere then that like this disease a terrible and unfortunate consequence. You have to remember that this is a place where people fly for flying's sake and to gain status . What status is worth if you or the airline do not make it you may well wonder.

All I will say MiraculousM is that - this place apart - no one I know personally has the slightest wish to travel. Even I who would like to return to Spain am seriously considering the wisdom of doing that at this time. From France it is not difficult, but having to juggle getting a full lab test with the flight departure is enough to make me question whether I can be bothered. There is little expense here as this can be done in any of the laboratories that do blood tests as these are not done in hospitals as in the UK; however I am leery that we need to get through this period before we can be vaccinated and before the winter ends. This is now firmly in OMNI territory, when someone like you posts from the battlefield and the heart, it deserves recognition and a call to good sense.
