[MENTION=297911]Often1[/MENTION] - I often (see what I did there?) read your posts and usually agree with them, but we are going to have to agree to differ on this one. If I don't book something now (using AAdvantage miles remember) I may miss out and get stuck in the UK, whilst if I book now the only loss to me is tying up the $ the taxes and surcharges cost given I can cancel and get the miles and $ back any time at no cost to me. I'm happy with that.

I decided to go with CX via HKG to SYD so I won't get stuck in Queensland.
