Has anyone transited through ORD lately? I am looking at an AA flight that would simply connect through AA terminals there, but my state is currently in the "red" for any visits, though it could turn by the trip. I know generally transiting is allowed anywhere since I am not visiting, but the connection time on one flight is definitely the MCT, so I risk missing it, and would want to stay at the airport Hilton if I did. The other is 5 hours, but I'm guessing even a negative test, vaccination proof, or proof of having COVID prior wouldn't let me out of ORD if my state doesn't turn yellow before the flight. Just wondering how the process is and what I would need to bring if my state DOES turn yellow (they update every two weeks) if I did need to leave the airport, so I could prove I was legal and such--or does it apply at ORD specifically, or is that considered in the city limits? It's funny how I never think so specifically until these details are upon me. I don't want to accidentally break some rule or get myself in trouble. (

I see the link has added that vaccinations do not exempt but positive covid tests do; this is new from my last look (I appreciate how often they update this).
