There's a table at one of those links (https://www.railpassengers.org/agr2021/) that shows how many points you get for the different membership levels. The 15,000 AGR points are for people joining at the maxed out $2500/yr dues level. The more normal $60 individual and $80 family memberships get you 250 and 400 points respectively.
