An e-ticket on a *airline or having the ticket sent to me is probably the best option but I don't know of any travel agent who will do that.
I just tried bringing it up on the SQ website and noticed that SQ974 doesn't show up if you don't select a time after the date....ie: it shows a list of 4-5 flights with the last one being SQ68 at 18:30 as you noticed.
If you select "Evening" or a later time like "20:00" or "22:00" in the time box for the SIN-BKK leg, it shows up alright.
