Just managed to switch a 6 night point booking at the Conrad in Feb to a 5 night point booking at the WA from 3/11 to 3/16. I was getting skeptical about traveling in February and was looking for availability from March to December for the Conrad daily with no luck but somehow managed to find an uninterrupted 5 night stay in a Reef villa so jumped on it. I have a Free night certificate from my Aspire card that I was hoping to use for the trip but looks there's no standard reward availability even though a King OWV is available for booking with cash on the day before and after my current booked dates so guessing I won't be able to use the free night certificate unless standard award availability pops ups?
If so, any recommendations for monitoring award availability? I read back a few pages and saw
https://openhotelalert.com/ mentioned but this site doesn't appear to work anymore as there's no option to track Reef villas or OWV for those dates from what I can see.
Also, I saw a few people mentioning having trouble using the $250 Aspire Resort Credit at the WA no longer appears on the list of resorts eligible on the website (
https://www3.hilton.com/en/resorts/i) but appears on the map view on the same site. Has anyone had recent success using this credit? TIA
