Solar de-icing tends to be broken at 3:10 AM at MSY.
The wings were as cold as Clemson.

As to the deicing delay I remember being deiced twice in OKC which has to be the winter capital of ice. Once at the station and again at the end of the runway just prior to skidding takeoff
