Called the number on the back of my card after the new year. Indicated I was thinking about cancelling. They transferred me to the cancellation/downgrade desk. After about 10 minutes of discussion, I was offered a $500 statement credit with no spending requirement. Seems like this is similar to what a few others have already posted but wanted to share as another data point.
