Last week I was approved for the Flying Club credit card. Bad timing on that application, should have applied for something else.
Yep, but realistically, you probably won't be able to fly to Japan until at least the summer of this year. I think Japan will do everything possible to let in tourists from so called "safe countries". If I have enough NH points, that's exactly what I'm going to do. I really doubt the NH sweetspot will last any longer in the future.

It's what it is. I don't know if you want to meet the spending requirement for the points.
