I don’t like prosciutto on pizza but have reluctantly had it back when my spouse wanted it as a topping (white pizza with prosciutto and arugula). I don’t know when I’ll have salami again in the house as it is great for sandwiches.

it’s a combo of our child’s preference plus religion, although pork is also very unhealthy; I think it’s worse than cow. I try to have under 8-Oz of red meat a week if possible!
Why would a kid request no pork? And what difference does it make if it is cooked or not or in the house or out? Seems a bit over the top that you have to go outside your own house to eat pepperoni pizza. I am quite sure I didn't know what products were made from pork or beef when I was a kid (not that my parents would ever allow a kid to dictate what the parents were allowed to eat).
And as far as being unhealthy, I am not sure I would count cheeseburgers, fries, grilled cheese as health food. I don't think in moderation pork is unhealthy at all---it is the other white meat.
