In normal times I fly Cape Town to Manchester 4 times a year in business class, always with Emirates. My latest flight two weeks was on an ancient 777 so I've decided to try Qater Airways.

I am happy with Classic business class fares but I can't find any such fares from South Africa.

I can find then from Manchester to Cape Town and the savings are substantial. For example, in May 2021 the difference between Classic and Comfort fares is £1,100 or $1,500. So I would be paying that just for lounge access, anytime seat selection and about 4,000 QMiles. There are no dedicated lounges in Manchester and Cape Town. In any case, my credit cards give me access to lounges.

But any idea why Classic fares do not seem to be available from South Africa?
