Congratulations to MSP TSA screeners!
Last thursday I was passing through MSP, just another screening turned into a interesting experience...
The xray operator claimed she saw something on her screen, so a bag screener was called over. Of course I gave him full cooporation to check my bag. He claimed they had seen a "card tool" on the screen, I was positive there was no such thing in my bag but of course let him do his job (which he did extremely well and politely).
Turns out there WAS a Swiss Army card tool in the back of my toiletries bag, and it had been there since the week I bought the thing (early 2000)!!! (the card contained a knife, scissors and other little tools, certainly not permitted under TSA rules).
I have passed 100's of check points, domestic and international and nobody ever spotted the thing, I've even had secondary searches several times, and had them check that toiltetries bag, without them every finding it.
I apologized to the screener for wasting his time, I was truly embaressed to have been carrying something that is not permitted, but most of all I am amazed it took them 4 years to find something I had forgotten I was carrying.
Kind of makes every single security check I've had in the past years seem useless...
