they sort of did via their Franchise BMED. BA used yo fly to exotic places such as: Tbilisi, Almaty, Tashkent. Bishkek, Yerevan, Baku, Ashgabat, Aleppo, Damascus, Addis Abeba, Khartoum, Dakar, Alexandria, Freetown and Morovia.
