I also had some miles refunded several months ago that seems to have pushed expiration back to Fall 2021, but I don't want to press my luck and have 200k miles expire if Avianca decides to retroactively fix that issue.
Last March 2020, I booked a flight from JFK to Tokyo HND using the miles scheduled to expire on April 2021. The remaining miles in my LM account will expire in Nov 2021 (because I purchased some miles in Nov 2020).
If I cancel this JFK-HND flight in January 2021 and request to put the miles back in my LM account, does anyone know if the refunded miles will expire in April 2021 (i.e., original expiration date) or Nov 2021 (expiration date of the remaining miles in my account) or Jan 2021? Thank you.
