For $200, I would go for it.
You get 1 year of platinum lifetime year, a choice of a 50 night gift, and the possibility of whatever offer they give next year to requalify if travel is not back to normal (this year was 25 qualifying nights for platinum), and match to some other program with platinum is easier than gold.
