I do know some couples where one half refuses to pay any more than the bare minimum to fly in Y.

On the same note I made a very expensive mistake of taking my wife J class to BOS for her ??? birthday -since then she has refused to traveled any other way and now has her own Gold status. Over the last 40 years , except this year , I have never flown less than a minimum of 100 flights a year .Next year I am retiring so look forward to doing much more leisure flying , and with the help of this forum optimising my tier point and gain my Life Time Gold
