It is a pain. But if you are in the US/North America program, give them 2 weeks, and then follow-up again.
I've had a number of flights over the past couple of months that have been all mixed up.
My first step, after they post as ineligible, is to fill out the missing miles form. Most of the time it gets sorted after 2 weeks.
I had a couple of short hauls that didn't get sorted properly after 2 weeks (posted as C/T), so I called. The agent saw that I had submitted a form about the flights (she read the details of the flights back to me before I gave them to her), and she re-queued the requests with a note about the MFU, and they were corrected about a week and a half later.
I've had the joy of also trying to get these flights credited properly to the Venture Club. But a quick e-mail where I gave all the details finally got that sorted.
Hopefully they're in the process of getting this problem fixed. It is a pain. But the MFUs are the best part of the BA program, so I'm not going to complain (this time).
I head off on another MFU midweek, so we'll see how it goes this time ...
