But I agree - Hyatt acquiring SPG might have been very interesting indeed.
SPG LTP was a big deal when it surprised people initially and the metal card was a nice touch, but it was really PlatMinus. You still had to do the 50 nights each year to get SNAs and even more nights to have an Ambassador. The requirements were reasonable and everyone knew where they stood in terms of ten Plat years and 500 nights.
