Just returned from CDG on 870/871 and couldn't upgrade using a cert in either direction. Fligths were packed and there were about 12 ahead of me on the outbound for an upgrade!

Seems like AC could use 42 seats on their A330s in Exec. I understand these are being reconverted soon which will be good. Anyone have similar experiences lately of not being able to upgrade on transatlantic flights. Maybe CDG is a particularly busy this time of year. Great to see AC's loads are remaining strong.
