A further lockdown recently ordered hotels to close their bars and restaurants and quit offering room-service. Now, until at least mid-January, your only options are take-out or delivery meals. These must be consumed inside of your own room. If you want to order from the lauded Joelia restaurant (within the hotel), I think you'll have to order online and at least one day in advance. Otherwise you could order from Jaq, the hotel's own - still very well received - restaurant.
Though no room service is allowed, breakfast is being delivered to your door in a brown paper bag. I think from a health-perspective this is preferable over having all individual rooms collecting their own order from the restaurant, which is what I guess the public health authorities had been thinking of. Although picking it up yourself is still an option.
You have a choice of American, English or an Energizer (
avocado alarm) breakfast, which are 15 euro a serving, unless you are Gold or Diamond. (I'm skipping some of the other options, because otherwise in January the next Government directive will probably become: "All hotels are to place their patrons on bread and water only.")
