to be more precise, food it all free ONLY for the 3 daily meals, if you've used up your daily allowance, I understood is paid for - e.g. ordering room service at 4pm or 11 pm. Although truthfully after each meal sitting, I am not sure how anyone can still eat unless they picked at their food during meal times. Also with the unofficial afternoon tea time offerings (also free) food will never be an issue.

For drinks - I had the impression that only bottled water and alcoholic drinks were chargeable during meal times (and of course outside of the different meal times). Of course in current times, I am not sure if the above are still the same.
