Flight cancelled on a route that is "terminated" from April
I am wondering what my best options are to allow me to fly. I had an upcoming flight to SEZ in the first week in January, which has now been cancelled. BA have said the flights will restart in February, by which point I imagine the country will be in a lockdown so unable to go. Ordinarily this wouldn't be much of a problem as I would simply rebook for the Autumn but BA stops flying the route in April (announced last week). I imagine that it will find its way back onto the schedule for next Autumn/Winter but who knows when. I don't want to get a FTV or a cash refund because I bought the flights in a sale for a great price. I don't think I can ask BA to rebook on another carrier as technically the route cancellation isn't what caused this issue. I suppose my questions are: how long do I have before I have to contact BA to do something; and is there a way of trying to fly this route with BA or another airline after April given that it's not on the schedule at the moment?
Thanks
Bob
