We have a booking LHR - ACE end Jan 2021, direct flights and car with BAH, booked directly on BA.com. It was meant to be a 3 night trip. Unfortunately, BA has cancelled the outbound and booked us to fly on the following day, making it a 2 night trip. This has knock on effects for our separately booked hotel as well as our plans for the first day and night.
Our preference is to get to ACE on the original date. There does not seem to be any BA codeshares available, but there are IB flights e.g.
LHR - TFS on BA, followed by TFS - ACE on IB (operated by Binter Canarias);
LHR - MAD on BA (operated by IB), followed by MAD - LPA on IB (maybe a BA codeshare) and then LPA - ACE on Binter Canarias.
Alternatively, we would opt for BA to fly us out to TFS, and let us get to ACE by our own means, as long as they honour the car rental and return flight, and charge us no extra costs.
Can anybody offer any advice whether either of these two options are available and what terminology should be used when calling BAH? The two agents that I talked to today said that there was no other availability for rebooking available on their Pegasus system (i.e. for a 3 night trip), and that they cannot look elsewhere. The only alternative to a 2 night trip that they offered was a refund. Thanks.
