I have followed the various threads on this subject.

Today I was in a BA Travelshop booking a holiday. I asked for D fares on the transatlantic rather than I due to the problems people have been having (and I had too last year).

The chap was adamant that I fares for leisure travelers (as opposed to BA holidays staff travelling in I fares) definitely get miles and tier points - indeed they had documentation to prove it.

As it turned out there were only D fares left.

Still it would be good if there was a consistent approach to this across BA.
