Unfortunately Blue Islands is not an IATA member, nor is easyJet, so BA can't book you on those options. So the claim idea is best. There is a usual cap on taxi fares of £50 so your best bet would be train to Woking and taxi from there, the SOU airport station is just past the taxi rank anyway. I hope BA would pay this, in the past it's been a bit of a mixed experience, but EC261 is largely on your side here. However that makes it all the more important to spend money as if you were not going to get refunded.
