newbie here. 1st international trip. came back to FLL and on the plane they said kiosks arent working and we have forms. i had previously done my mobile passport free edition but my gf didnt do it after the announcment. i didnt know what broken kiosks actually meant, being new and all. i assumed they meant no mobile passport.

got to fll and immediately saw about 40 kiosks in a crowded room with a long line. the line did move super fast. i asked a worker there if mobile passport is working and she said yes..but my gf didnt have it filled out on her phone yet. turns out when got to the head of the line and showed our mobile passport and the woman basically said why wer you even in line. obviously the kiosks were not for us lol. we learned that. went right thru to the mobile line which wasnt really much shorter than the normal line. but now i know.

still unsure what the guy on the plane meant by no kiosks working. maybe they just say that all the time. also why did i have to show it 2x to 2 different people. if you made it past the 1st checkpoint certainly you are good to go.
