From the bottom of the thread:
1) The Radisson is a very handy place to stay - shop around for the rates. I'd hate to miss the LAS flight due to (say) fog, as I can't see bmi being to happy to help with a re-route....
2) I agree that travelaxe is an excellent tool for hotel rates, esp for Vegas though I always check the hotel website direct before making a booking. Some people say that there's some spyware associated, but I only run it on my Work laptop, so who cares?
3) TBS has the right idea - if you can find a good rate with reasonable cancellation terms, snag it then shop around for better later.
4) Weekends in Vegas get expensive, so you could leave town and head to the Grand Canyon - which is always expensive, or out to LA or SFO. Alternatively, book the strip for midweek and switch to downtown for the weeked. The Green Valley Ranch is also pretty good, out of town.
