There was apparently a "
soft opening" of the Terminal 6 lab this week that must have gone wrong. I had a rapid test appointment for 12/18 at 8AM, and I got this email the day before:
"Hello,
We are not accepting scheduling for Terminal 6 rapid tests at this time. You must schedule at Terminal 2 or Tom Bradley International for a 24hr test."
No further information on when the rapid test will come back.
I had already scheduled an appointment for next Wed 12/23 at T6 LAX with Clarity. Given all the changes, and people reporting you can't currently schedule an appointment in T6, I emailed them to confirm that my appointment was still valid, and I asked about the rapid 3 hour test. Here is their reply (which came through very quickly):
"Yes, you can still get tested at Terminal 6 but it is a regular 24H PCR test with a 24-48 hour turnaround time. The 3 hour tests are not available yet, they will be announced on our website,
www.claritymv.com, when they are made available."
