There were no lie flat seats on UA in the 1990's. In fact I think no other airline than BA had that. There was a reason I flew a lot of BA First Class in those days. I was flying over 200K BIS on UA in the late 1990's including a lot of long flights to Oz. They were never in 180 degree flat seats.
