I haven’t spent much time at the pump for the past ten months given the pandemic and having a Prius, but when I inserted my Chase card today, the pump asked me not to remove the card while a security check of it was made, something I haven’t seen before, good to go after a few seconds.

So all fired up, I made another transaction to see if tapping the card contactlessly worked, and it did, in less than a second. A third transaction even accepted a Touch ID iPhone. I couldn’t believe my good fortune as I drove away.
