Since you say that you both always travel together now that you're retired, I can't think of any reason why it would be advantageous to have separate accounts.

Just keep one account (you can't have multiple names on one account), make sure that whoever's credit card is paying for the nights is the one SPG account that you keep - it'll avoid potential problems in the future with SPG.
