Did Japan close ski resorts during the first half of the year for Covid-19-related reasons? Is there a chance that they will close the resorts there now or later this season? If so, what would they do when it comes to holders of season ski passes?

In Q3 or Q4 2019, I was looking forward to going to ski in Japan during Q1 2021; and so from then I had begun to look forward to grabbing a multiresort season ski pass in the US to milk for use at resorts in at least North America, Europe and Japan during Q4 2020, Q1 2021 and Q2 2021. But it won't be happening this season for me due to what Covid-19 means.
