Suddenly, Mosaic doesn't seem so worthless anymore.

A few of these additions are positive--but they're only for 2021. It also remains to be seen how often Mosaic members (and the general public) will/can fly next year. Obviously, for those who can take advantage of it, the unlimited companion passes for the first 5 months of 2021 are great. The lower 2021 qualification paths are something every other airline is offering and (IMO) is unlikely to get people concerned about COVID to fly more. The same-day EMS has been an unpublished benefit for over a year and glaringly overlooks that B6 not only expects their elite members to pay for EMS otherwise, but the amount of points required to pay for advance EMS seating used to cost Mosaics ~1,000 points for a cross-country flight; now it costs around 5,000 points--that's an absurd devaluation!
The other thing that scares the hell out of me is how the (still unannounced) benefits will match with AA freq flyers. Will AA elites get free EMS seats at booking (like they do on AA flights)? How quickly with Mosaic become diluted with AA elites?
Here are my three biggest concerns with JetBlue, heading into 2021:
1. TrueBlue (stealth) point devaluation TrueBlue point redemption for flights were typically between $0.014-0.017 a year ago. Occasionally you could even find $0.018-0.021. In the past six months, there seems to be a stealth devaluation as most flights are now $0.011-0.013
2.
Mosaic (stealth) EMS point devaluation Without notice to Mosaic members, JetBlue completely destroyed the point benefit for EMS booking this fall. This is especially surprising because the reason Mosaic members were originally given the 15k point benefit every year was to offset the fact they didn't get free EMS seats at booking ("yes, we don't give free EMS upgrades to Mosaic, but you can get 15-30 EMS upgrades with the 15k point bonus every year!")
3.
AA partnership and negative impacts of AA & their elites to Mosaic & JetBlue I will never understand why JetBlue chose to partner with the worst of the US3. Even in a terrible financial position (which I don't think B6 was in), I don't see how this partnership can benefit B6. Many (most?) business & leisure customers, particularly in hub cities, pay extra to ensure they fly B6, knowing they get better legroom, free tv & internet and (typically) a more pleasurable flight. Instead of continuing to target that market, they've pivoted completely to
extremely price-sensitive AA customers, something like 75% of which only fly the airline once a year and are only flying on AA because it's the lowest-price option. So these customers going to go from a cramped 30" AA plane with no tv, internet or snacks...and then be 'upgraded' to the same benefits as those paying a premium to fly JetBlue? I don't see a way this ends without B6 amenities & services cut to match AA. Why would I want to an elite member of an airline reducing quality as it becomes a feeder for AA?
