Thanks, I've read the article link in its entirety and while it states further social distancing measures and enforcements from 18DEC and over the festive period it doesn't say anything to the effect tourists to the island won't be permitted entry during this time.

The only one I can see that does is the Janet Anscombe website (whoever she is?) linked by paulaf. What I'm saying is I'm somewhat unsure of claims by such sites, I've no reason to believe it (or disbelieve it) but I'd sooner wait for a more credible media source to state this before I begin to react. El País hasn't as of yet.
