If the change had occurred less than 14 days prior to departure and you were late to your destination, EU261 compensation would apply.

Longer connections usually have cheaper fares and I think you are owed something. Lufthansa was not transparent. It’s definitely not your job to check their flight schedule every day.

I would ask LH to compensate you. Since they were not honest with you and you didn’t get the flight you were advertised, you might win a credit card dispute for a portion of the fare on the basis of unfair dealing.

The fact that you accepted the change doesn’t matter. Again, it isn’t your job to check Lufthansa’s flight schedule every day.
