Honestly don't really see the point in groups anymore anyway because it's not as if they're staggered or delayed to ensure the boarding bridge and aisle are relatively clear before the next group gets on. They may as well just board F, J, then Y. Let them all line up and just walk on board one by one, that's what happens in practice now as it is.
It would be nice if the Priority AAccess lane were extended though, all the way through the boarding bridge to the aircraft door. Bypassing the line at the door is relatively useless when you end up just being dumped in a queue of 45 people standing in the boarding bridge.
Of course there is a point. If you are PLT, you will end up in that line waiting at the door, but you will be on the plane with luggage in the bins, before they are filled with the stuff from the people who got in that line after you
